Ryan came home to see this huge raccoon sitting atop the pillar outside our front door tonight. I ran out to see it (afraid that it might jump and claw me, can they jump?) but he had disappeared by the time I got outside. Ryan had been watching him and knew he didn't run anywhere, so he assumed there must be a hole in the pillar and this thing has made it his new home.
His theory was confirmed when we heard scratching inside the pillar and then saw the raccoon pop out again.
Now, I'm going to have to be extra cautious as I come and go...

Silly raccoon. Maybe you're snake will try and eat him.
