3 months old

My little BradyBoo is 3 months old tomorrow. Life with him has been so many things: challenging, exciting, confusing, joyful, maddening, peaceful, and exhausting. Luckily since introducing the medicine for reflux, we're having far fewer challenging, maddening, and confusing days...but we still see them sometimes. We're having a lot more FUN now that he's feeling better and he's at a bit more of an interactive age. I LOVE making him smile and will make a fool of myself over and over again in order to get a good smile and squeal.

Here is what Brady's 3rd month of life has brought:

  • He's smiling, A LOT
  • He found his voice. He coos and squeals when he's happy.
  • We're getting LESS sleep all of a sudden. He's sleeping shorter stretches and waking far more frequently. :(
  • If he wants to see something that's behind him, he will arch way back and turn his head to see it. Most often I catch him watching t.v. like that while I'm holding him or while he's sitting in the boppy.
  • He's slobbering a TON.
  • He LOVES bath time and shower time. Bath time is more like play time for him. He kicks his feet like crazy and  will smile and squeal while in there. Shower time is more relaxing. He will never smile in the shower...he just stares at me with his eyes half closed and sometimes even falls asleep. Both bath and shower time are a sure fire way to get him to stop crying if he's in a mood.
  • He's starting to react to toys that hang above him, like his mobile or play mat. Sometimes he gets the biggest grin when he sees them.
  • He's moving a lot. When I lay him on his back, he's almost always kicking his feet and moving his arms, sometimes he's moving so fast it seems like if I put him in water he'd start swimming!
  • At 3 months old, he's just barely starting to fit into his 0-3month clothes. They are all a little big on him, but he's outgrowing the newborn clothes, so we're transitioning anyway.

So that's what my boy has been up to in his third month of life. He's as cute as ever and even though he can be a pill, I love him more than anything!!

How exciting!! So glad that his reflux problem is starting to calm down!!! Enjoy the fact that you're getting good use out of those newborn and 0-3 month clothes...we went through those clothes so fast, some only got worn once or twice. I wish we could have spent more time in the cute newborn stuff, so I'm jealous =) Here's to hopefully more sleep and lots and lots more smiles!!!
