On our way to the pier...

Hanging out on the pier only provides entertainment for so long, so we walked up to the 3rd Street Promenade, where there are even more performers in the streets. Many of them are quite entertaining, but I was a little disturbed with how many of the performers were children, with their parents there asking for tips.
Desiree and I had hoped that we would see someone famous, since Santa Monica is known for their celebrity sightings. However, we didn't expect much, as any celebrity would be crazy to show up at the promenade because it's SO crowded. We DID see two of the doctors from DR. 90210, but we don't know if they counted as celebrities or just famous doctors...it was exciting none the less.
For dinner, we headed into LA and ate at Ryan's parent's home. It was nice to be able to relax and catch up with them, while still having a phenominal dinner. We had great appetizers, great steak, and some really yummy asparagus rissoto. Thanks Rick and Arlene for taking the time to cook for us, it was delicious!! We got home pretty late (and by late I mean 10:45, which used to be early. But now that we're married, it seems SO late) and crashed immediatley.
Anyway, that was our Saturday. We had so much fun with Brian and Desiree and look forward to another day trip with them.
