New Years Eve

Ryan and I decided to ring in this new year with some cousins and a few friends at his parents up in LA. We had no special plans, we just thought we'd go up and hang out, then check out the Rose Parade in the morning, since it's only a few minutes away from his parent's home.

Lucky for us, our night of no special plans turned into something much better. Ryan's dad called a few days ago and said the had a suite available for the Clippers game!! None of us are hardcore Clippers fans, but it's something to do, right? So, all who were planning on coming up to LA anyway, were (gladly) detoured to the Clippers game.

Here is a chronicle of our evening:

6:30 - meet up with various friends and family at the Staples Center for the game.

About 9:00...maybe a little later- the game ends and we all walk over to LA Live to see if there are any NYE events.
There wasn't much going on at LA Live, so we took a few pictures and left.
On our way back to Rick and Arlene's (Ryan's parents), we drove down Colorado Blvd., that's the street that the Rose Parade travels. The sidewalks were PACKED with campers (people have to stake out their spots for the parade the night before). The drive down the street was interesting because the kids who are all camping out entertain themselves by throwing things at the cars passing by...tortillas, wet marshmallows, silly string, whipped cream, etc. LUCKILY, we only got a few marshmallows.
11:00- we all get back to Rick and Arlene's and try to warm up as we wait for the ball to drop.
What a wild bunch, huh?!? Most of us were just waiting for 12:00 so we could go to bed. We were SO tired.

12:00- "Happy New Year!!"

12:30- "Good night!" ...lights out.
