Day 8-9: Seattle

After we departed our cruise in Seattle, we stayed in the city for the rest of the weekend to explore. We stayed downtown at The W hotel which was super nice and seemed so spacious after a week on a cruise ship. After checking into the hotel we headed out to take the Underground Tour. It was so cool to be underneath the streets of Seattle and learn about the history of the city, which is really interesting (you should research it if you don't already know). We also went down to the pier and got a Crab Pot lunch, then went to Pike's Place  to see the fish market and the farmers market, which had lots of flowers, fruit, flavored honey sticks, etc. On our last day we took the Duck Tour...it's one of those boat/truck things that can drive on the streets and then without pause just drive right into the water. It took us all over the city and into and around the lake where we saw the house used in the movie "Sleepless in Seattle". The lake also allows airplanes to land and take off from it, which was really cool to see.

SOOO, that was our whole trip. It really was fantastic! It was a ton of fun to spend some quality time with Ryan's family, celebrate Courtney's birthday, and celebrate some exciting news that we shared with the family too :) .
